Superintendent

Dear Coffee County Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,

It is my distinct pleasure to welcome everyone to the upcoming school year. The start of each school year brings a unique wave of excitement, energy, and perhaps even some apprehension as we transition into new routines. Students look forward to reconnecting with friends, families reflect on how fast their children are growing, and our dedicated educators are eager to welcome our students back into the classroom.

As a native of Coffee County and someone who has walked the halls of this district for 25 of my 28 years in education as a teacher, principal, and district leader, this community is my home. I am deeply passionate about our families, and I have dedicated my career to building lasting trust and credibility with our faculty, staff, students, and community partners.

As I step into this new role, I want you to know that my most important mission and priority is to support your students with the very best educational experiences possible. I am fully committed to ensuring our district serves as the true heart and soul of Coffee County by grounding our work in four core commitments:

  • Excellence in All Things: We will maintain high expectations for academic and operational success, keeping our primary focus on teaching and learning as the key that opens every door for a child's future.

  • Connection to the Whole Child: We are dedicated to ensuring every child feels safe, loved, and supported emotionally and socially so they are fully equipped to learn.

  • Presence in Heart and Mind: True presence is more than an attendance checkmark. I am committed to cultivating an environment where our staff and leaders are fully engaged, authentic, and deeply invested in the daily well-being of our students.

  • Unity Across Our Community: True leadership is about service, and unity is about moving forward together in the same direction. We will actively reach beyond the walls of our schools to partner with you, meeting our families where they are to unify our classrooms, schools, and neighborhoods.

I believe firmly in the power of public education and the incredible potential of our students. By empowering and supporting our students, educators, and leaders, and working hand-in-hand with our families, I know our students will confidently achieve "Destination Graduation for College, Career, and Life."

I am honored, humbled, and excited to work alongside you as we speak life into our students every single day. Welcome back, and please know that my door is always open to you.

Sincerely,

Mr. Lee Mobley
